De Auditor
As Christian James Unya, known across platforms as De Auditor, I cannot stay silent on this matter. The arrest of popular social critic Justice Mark Chidiebere, famously called Justice Crack, by the Nigerian Army represents a dangerous slide into impunity that must stop immediately.
Shameful Overreach by the Army
The Army arrested Justice Crack simply because he shared chats and videos showing soldiers complaining about poor feeding and terrible welfare conditions in operational areas. Instead of addressing these serious complaints, the military chose to silence the messenger. This action is wrong, unacceptable, and against the spirit of our democracy.

Our soldiers put their lives on the line daily to fight bandits, insurgents, and other threats. They deserve good food, proper equipment, and fair treatment. Exposing their suffering is not a crime — it is an act of patriotism. By detaining Justice Crack, the Army sends a clear message: “Do not speak about our failures.” This culture of cover-up helps no one and weakens our national security.
Tinubu Government Bears Responsibility
The Bola Tinubu administration must take full responsibility here. When security agencies act with impunity and the government stays silent or looks the other way, it encourages more abuse of power. Nigerians elected this government to protect citizens’ rights, not to trample on them. Allowing the Army to arrest a civilian critic without immediate explanation or due process is a failure of leadership.
We have seen this pattern too many times — voices that dare to speak truth face harassment while real problems remain unsolved. Enough is enough!
My Clear Demand
I join millions of Nigerians in calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Justice Crack without any further delay. He should not spend another night in detention. The authorities must also investigate and fix the welfare issues he raised instead of punishing him.
To the Nigerian Army and the Tinubu government: Nigeria belongs to all of us. You serve the people — not the other way around. Stop this impunity now. Release Justice Crack today and let him go home to his wife and young daughter.
De Auditor has spoken. The eyes of Nigerians are wide open. History will judge every leader and institution by how they treat citizens who speak truth to power.
