Saleh Mamman
This one sweet my body well well today! The long arms of the law have finally caught up with massive government looters. Na wa o, stealing our national electricity funds will now send you straight to a very long prison term!
The Raw Facts: The N33.8 Billion Mega Loot
Update land for my table today straight from the Federal High Court in Abuja. Specifically, Justice James Omotosho has completely convicted the former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman. He served as a minister under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) successfully proved a massive ₦33.8 billion fraud against him. These stolen public funds were originally meant for the important Zungeru and Mambilla hydroelectric power projects.
The Historic 75-Year Jail Term Breakdown
The court found Mamman totally guilty on all 12 counts of money laundering and conspiracy. Consequently, the judge handed him a historic 75-year prison sentence. Specifically, he received seven years each on 10 separate counts. He also got three years for count four and two years for count five. These sentences will strictly run consecutively. Furthermore, the court boldly ordered the total forfeiture of his recovered foreign currencies and four choice properties located in Abuja.
The Missing Convict and Interpol Alert
Shockingly, Saleh Mamman was actually convicted and sentenced in absentia. He completely refused to appear in court for his final judgment today. His own lawyer boldly told the court that he does not know his current whereabouts. Therefore, Justice Omotosho has officially directed all security agencies, including Interpol, to hunt him down everywhere. His massive 75-year prison sentence will officially start running the exact day they finally arrest him.
Truth Delivered: The De Auditor Verdict
I completely support this extremely harsh judgment by the Federal High Court today. For too long, corrupt politicians have continuously thrown Nigeria into total darkness. They pocketed billions of Naira while ordinary citizens heavily suffered without light. Therefore, the EFCC and Interpol must aggressively track him down immediately. He cannot hide from his heavy karma forever. Finally, this massive conviction is a serious warning to every current serving minister. Enough is definitely enough!
