Okocha Eze
Let me tell you a story, Your Excellency, Rt. Hon. Nwifuru Francis.
It was the right decision to lift the curfew imposed on the Amasiri Community. We thank you for that. However, one big question remains: Why are the 31 innocent Amasirians, including Pastor Okocha Eze, still languishing in prison after over three months?
The Painful Story of Pastor Okocha Eze The man in white is Pastor Okocha Eze, a devoted Deeper Life Bible Church pastor. He has lived peacefully in Asejire, Ore, Ondo State, for over 15 years as a hardworking cocoa farmer and father of four children.
On 30th January 2026, he simply travelled home to the village for a burial. The unfortunate incident in Okporojo community happened the previous day — 29th January. Yet on 2nd February, he was arrested along with 30 other innocent people and charged with the murder of four people.

How can a man who was over 410–450 kilometers away be charged with murder that happened before he even arrived? This defies logic.
De Auditor’s Position I, Christian James Unya (De Auditor), strongly demand the immediate and unconditional release of Pastor Okocha Eze and the other 30 innocent Amasirians. They have suffered enough.
These people were not at the crime scene. They know nothing about the killings. Keeping them in prison while charging them with murder they could not have committed is pure impunity and a grave injustice.
The Human Cost Pastor Okocha Eze’s first son, Amobi Okocha, urgently needs major surgery. His wife and children in Ondo State are struggling — their breadwinner is locked away for no reason. The emotional, financial, and physical pain this family is going through is unacceptable.
Truth Delivered This is exactly what Nigerians mean when they say “Nigeria happens to you.” Arbitrary arrests, prolonged detention without proper investigation, and weaponisation of the justice system against innocent citizens must stop.
Governor Nwifuru, you have shown some goodwill by lifting the curfew. Now complete the good work — release these innocent souls immediately. This single act will show true leadership and a willingness to correct past wrongs.
My Call to All Nigerians Enough is enough! Let us speak with one voice. Join me in demanding the immediate release of Pastor Okocha Eze and the 30 innocent Amasirians who have been in prison since 2nd February 2026.
